Deborah Bishop, DMD, PC
Dr. Deborah Bishop is a dedicated endodontic specialist caring for patients in Huntsville and surrounding Alabama communities. She uses the latest techniques and technologies to ensure dental care is effective, Dr. Bishop was the first endodontist in the state of Alabama to utilize a surgical operating microscope in her practice.
After graduating from Birmingham Southern College with a BS in biology, Dr. Bishop continued her education at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Bishop attended an endodontic residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has worked as an adjunct clinical professor in the endodontics departments at her alma mater, the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry.
Education and Training
Dr. Bishop has continued to complete education and training each year, and has stayed active in numerous professional organizations including:
- American Dental Association – numerous leadership roles including the ADA Task Force on the House of Delegates Governance, and member of the ADA Council on Governmental Affairs.
- Alabama Dental Association – has held numerous offices including president, vice president, secretary-treasurer, and currently serves as the delegate to the ADA from the State of Alabama.
- University of Alabama School of Dentistry Alumni Association – as a current member of the executive council, Dr. Bishop has served as president, vice president, and has been active in the organization for many years.
- Birmingham Southern College Alumni Association – where she served as her class chairman.
- Southern Endodontic Study Group – she has served as president and program chairman.
- American Association of Endodontists – she has served on a number of councils.
- American College of Dentists – she was inducted as a member in October of 2003.
- International Academy of Endodontists – she was a charter member and has served as treasurer.
- International College of Dentists – Dr. Bishop was awarded membership in October of 2013.
- Alabama Association of Endodontists – she has served as president and is currently the treasurer.
Dr. Bishop and her office team proudly support numerous local community, civic, & cultural organizations.

Office Manager
For Margaret, the best part of her job at our practice is helping others. She has about 35 years of industry experience and completed the Dental Hygiene Program at UAB. She is CPR certified and has advanced training in business management. She enjoys being part of our great dental team, and we’re happy to have her! She is the surviving spouse of Dr. Randy Simpson and was married to him for 36 years. She also enjoys youth ministry, fishing, gardening, and traveling.
Dianne
Insurance/Billing Coordinator
For over 20 years, Dianne has worked with our practice helping our patients with the financial logistics part of their dental experience. She recognizes just how special our endodontist and staff are and enjoys coming to work every day. Originally from Guntersville, Alabama, Dianne has two toy poodles named Sam and Sophie. In her spare time, she like to travel and read.
